Lauren Arboleda was born and raised in Colombia and lives in Miami. She is a self-taught cook, nutrition coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC, and an author.


In 2013, Lauren founded Food from the Heart as a food blog that quickly transformed into a brand that offers different culinary services. After getting pregnant in 2015, Lauren found inspiration in her pregnancy and decided to share with the world her knowledge about nutrition. Pregnancy from the Heart is Lauren’s first book and it is a compilation of nutrition tips to enjoy a super fun, healthy and practical pregnancy for both pregnant women and future moms. Her book also includes many easy recipes, which are delicious and healthy and especially from the heart.

Catherine Martinez is a Colombian and Venezuelan Latina in New York City who has pursued the study of Communicative Sciences & Disorders. Her studies led her to learn American Sign Language (“ASL”) and become passionate about raising awareness for communicative resources in media. Catherine uses her platforms to create content that connects directly with the deaf, hard of hearing (“HOH”), and child of deaf adult (“CODA”) communities.

Dani Solorio is on a mission to bring health to the hood. She is the founder of Compton Health Bar, a health and wellness store in the city of Compton, CA. Originally from Zacápu, Michoacán, Mexico, Dani arrived in the US at age 6, and grew up in Lynwood, CA. She loves to speak about herbs, superfoods, and wellness and has been a featured speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship and holistic healing on podcasts, at business events, and at local schools and institutions.

From the swimming pool, to the runway, to the cocina, Chef Tati Polo is a woman of many talents. Tati was born and raised in Venezuela. 


After settling in Los Angeles as a professional model, Tati decided to pursue her true passion, which has always been cooking, and received her Executive Chef degree from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu program at the California School of Culinary Arts. After graduating with honors, Tati created her own brand and company called Forkplate Productions, offering catering and event planning, classes and much more. Most recently, Tati was a part of Lanzate on Univision and nominated for an Emmy Award with a segment “taco de ojo con Tati Polo” and Univision Radio, K-Love 107.5 with a segment entitled “Vive Mejor con Tati Polo.” Tati can also be seen on her new upcoming project on YouTube, where she produces and hosts a show called: "SaladLand” with Tati Polo.

Aura Vasquez is an Afro-Latina immigrant, fearless environmental and social justice advocate, and a voice for people whose voices have been unheard. Aura brings a closeness to the Earth and a multicultural perspective to her mission. She is currently running to be the first Afro-Latina to represent Los Angeles City Council District 10. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, dancing, and spending time outdoors.

Elizabeth Pino is a Latina immigrant, millennial, wife, public servant and activist. She was born and raised in Cali, Colombia and moved to the United States when she was 17 years old. Liz didn’t know the language but her determination and passion for social justice pushed her to take advantage of every opportunity available. Liz has a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) and a bachelor’s in Political Science.

Mariana Marroquin is a Guatemalan immigrant, Transgender woman, actress, comedian, leader, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Mariana has worked tirelessly to help not only LGBTQ+, but also youth, homeless, women at risk, HIV positive, and injected drug users re-entering the general population. She is currently filming Season 3 of “Undocumented Tales” and writing and producing “Conversation With Silvia,” a celebration of Silvia Rivera’s legacy.
