Meet the headband that does it all. Made out of organic cotton, these headbands are perfect accessories for any occasion, season, and outfit. Each headband is woven by hand, dyed with plant-based dyes, and supports traditional weaving techniques in the highlands of Guatemala. 

The Atitlán Headband is Inspired by the sage power of Lake Atitlan, this color represents the richness and balance of Guatemala’s most sacred lake and its integral role in the ecosystem it supports. 

The Jade Headband is Inspired by the meticulous process of transforming rough minerals into beautiful jewels, this colors honors transformation among adversity and pressure.

  • Jade Color - dyed with 20% Indigo and 80% Rue 

Creation Process

Artisans spin raw organic cotton into over 500 threads that are dyed with plant-based materials and then wrapped on the warp (a tool to set a weaving pattern) before being placed on the back-strap loom to weave. This preparation takes artisans several days. The threads are then woven on a back-strap loom into textiles. Altogether, 17 artisans spend over 20 days spinning, dyeing, and weaving your textiles before turning them into headbands.
