Atitlán Color - dyed with 60% Indigo, 20% marigold, 20% curcumin
Jade Color - dyed with 20% Indigo and 80% Rue
Artisans spin raw organic cotton into over 500 threads that are dyed with plant-based materials and then wrapped on the warp (a tool to set a weaving pattern) before being placed on the back-strap loom to weave. This preparation takes artisans several days. The threads are then woven on a back-strap loom into textiles. Altogether, 17 artisans spend over 20 days spinning, dyeing, and weaving your textiles before turning them into headbands.
