Audrey Lynn Amadeo was born and raised in Miami, Florida and has always had a passion for giving back to her community. At the age of 13, Audrey learned American Sign Language and would teach her deaf peers the art of dance. After graduating from Florida Atlantic University, she began working as an Autism Therapist for Behavior Analysis Inc. While she was working, studying, and volunteering, she was also managing and teaching at Aventura Dance Studio. Audrey decided to combine the her two separate careers as an ABA therapist and dance instructor and get certified as an Autism Movement Therapist. Her passion and determination has led her to create The Arts for Autism Foundation, and she utilizes her certification in Autism Movement Therapy to implement a structured Spectrum Dance Therapy class for all children with Autism.

How is Spectrum Dance Therapy changing the lives of children with Autism in your Community?
We give children with autism the gift of dance and music, assist with sensory integration and behavior challenges, and provide a setting where they can interact socially and be kids. Through dance and music therapy, we seek to ignite the light within our children with autism. Seeing how my students progress every week in the expression and behaviors related to autism.
